With a great deal of experience in delivering out-of-home care services, we offer a range of care options, including non-family-based care, placement support, family support, SIL supported independent living, and outreach programs.

Out-of-home residential care

Providing safe, stable, and supportive environments for children and young people in the child protection system.

  • Safe, stable, and nurturing environments for children and young people on child protection orders
  • 24/7 trauma-informed care guided by the Sanctuary Model and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI)
  • Qualified and culturally responsive staff supporting healing and development
  • Individualised care plans focused on safety, emotional well-being, and positive relationships
  • Collaboration with Department of Families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety, families, and community supports to achieve long-term stability

Jayur House

Jayur House provides a culturally safe, trauma-informed temporary placement for children and young people in crisis. Jayur House offers:

  • Immediate safety and stability for young people at risk
  • Wraparound support to address complex trauma, strengthen connections, and improve long-term outcomes
  • Assertive outreach programs to engage young people in their communities and prevent placement breakdowns
  • Culturally responsive care, ensuring strong connections to culture, family, and community

Jayur House has been recognised for its impact, receiving the 2024 Child Protection Week QLD Regional Program Award for its commitment to providing a safe, healing environment for vulnerable young people.

Supporting Transition Empowering And Developing Youth (STEADY) Steps Program

We work closely with the Department of Families, Seniors, Disability Services, and Child Safety, forging a strong partnership that enables us to deliver high-quality, compassionate care. Our services are available to children, youth, and families in need, including those experiencing trauma, stress, or social challenges. We work closely with community partners and referral agencies to ensure timely support.

To access services or make a referral, please contact our intake team by using our Enquiry Form. Referrals can be made by individuals, authorised professionals, or community partners.

GSL exist because not all children in our community who were born with, or acquire a disability, have a good start to life. They cater to the needs of children through to young adults aged 0-24 years, supporting their home life, learning and community connection.

Treehouse Innovative Families

Treehouse is a designated agency that unites trained professionals with young people who've endured trauma, neglect or abuse. They offer truly tailored care to nurture, empower, and promote their well-being for a brighter future.

Southern Cross Family Day Care

Southern Cross Family Day Care provides childcare solutions in a homely and safe environment for children aged 0-6 years. SCFDC Educators are Diploma qualified professionals to care and educate children in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework providing them with the best start to their academic life.
