A new name, the same commitment to you. Southern Cross Support Services and Programmed Care are now Kanda.

WorkCover
If you’ve sustained a serious or permanent injury at work, or as a result of your workplace, you may be entitled to make a claim for compensation under state law. Through your state’s Workers’ Compensation Scheme, you could be eligible to receive a variety of supports, including medical care, attendant care, and rehabilitation services, on either a short-term or long-term basis.
Complex Care services
At Kanda, we specialise in providing complex care services for individuals with significant injuries. Our experienced team can support you with the care you need to help you get your life back after a work related injury
Eligibility for WorkCover care and support
Under your state’s safe work insurance scheme, injuries are assessed to determine the degree of permanent impairment.
This assessment helps determine the level of support and services you may be eligible for.
What to expect during an assessment:
- The assessing doctor will review the treatment you’ve received so far and discuss your current challenges.
- Depending on the nature of your injury, the doctor may conduct a physical examination to measure how the injury affects your movement or ability to function.
- After the assessment, the doctor will prepare a report with a percentage score describing the level of permanent impairment caused by your injury.
If your claim is successful, your state’s workers’ compensation program may cover the costs of treatment and care to address the needs related to your workplace injury.
